Flannery O'Connor said she had a chicken that walked backwards.  This chicken tried to follow Sue Walker home.

Write an essay a la O'Connor, a story about a hen -- a little red hen, write a poem about the chicken that crossed the road -- or wherever the topic of chicken takes you.
