Write a Documentary Poem.

Pick a historical event.  Or – google what was happening in the world on the day you were born – and write about it.  

So – pick a year from your life and research what was happening in the world that year. Weave your personal memories of that year with cultural and political events that were happening concurrently.

Think of various documents: medical documents, testimonies.  This is a rather new kind of historical writing.  Write in lines or a paragraph as a prose poem.
